Service Tech Select does not currently have active affiliate links. If that changes, commercial links will be labelled clearly near the recommendation and listed on this page.
This page says how a site that recommends products makes, or would make, its money, because you should know before you read a recommendation.
Current relationships
None currently. No affiliate program, vendor-provided test account, extended trial, credit or other material benefit is in use. When one is, it appears here with its status and the date we last checked it.
How a commercial link is labelled
When a link can earn us a commission, it passes through our own address on the way to the vendor, it carries a sponsored-link attribute in the page’s code, and a plain sentence beside the button or link says that we may earn a commission at no additional charge from Service Tech Select. That sentence, not a footer line and not the attribute, is the disclosure. The same wording appears near the first commercial recommendation on every page that carries such a link.
Links to a vendor’s documentation, pricing page or support article, used as a source for something we state, are plain links with no commercial relationship, whether or not a program exists for that vendor.
Other things a vendor might provide
Money is not the only consideration a vendor can offer. If a vendor gives us a test account, extended access beyond a public trial, credits, or anything else of value that we use in our research, the page that relies on it says so and the relationship is listed above. An ordinary public free trial that anyone can start needs no special disclosure. A vendor-provided account is used only within the terms it came with, and providing one does not guarantee coverage or affect a conclusion. Where account terms restrict what we may publish from it, the evidence limitation is disclosed on the relevant product page. We do not accept gifts, travel or sponsored content.
Why commission cannot affect rankings
Commercial relationships cannot affect eligibility, evaluation criteria, ranking or verdict. Ranked recommendations are published only after the applicable evidence and human-review requirements are met, and a product without an affiliate program stays eligible for recommendation. How we test and rank software explains the rules.
What this means for you
Read our recommendations the way you would read advice from someone who has to live with the consequences of being wrong. Check the verification dates. Follow the sources. Try the product yourself before you commit your customer list to it, and confirm current pricing and terms with the vendor before you buy: vendor prices, promotions and eligibility can differ by market and can change after we checked them.
An affiliate relationship, where one exists, does not mean the vendor reviewed or approved the article. If you would rather not use a commercial link, go to the vendor directly. We would still rather you found the right software.
